Next Stop...GEORGIA

I know my last post, I told yall how we would be finding out our next move this past week.  Well the next day, Chris found out we are moving to GEORGIA (stay tuned for my excitement)! So he calls Monday and tells me the news.  This is where the whirlwind begins.  I immediately start packing up the apartment.  By Monday night, the whole apartment is back in my car and I'm ready to go.  We went to eat with our favorites- EJ and Okert.  The next morning, I dropped Chris off at the field bright and early and started heading HOME! Yes, HOME! I didn't think I would be able to come back home until June for summer school, but I am currently sitting in my parents' den and LOVING it.  My heart is so happy.  I drove for three straight days and got here Thursday afternoon.  I'm not going to lie, to my surprise a few tears were shed when I saw the Tupelo sign. I had no clue how homesick I was or maybe I'm just  turning into my sentimental mom.

I got to spend Easter with my precious family!  I am staying in Tupelo for a few more days before I drive to Augusta to meet Chris.  While I was on the road I was able to get on the phone and find us an apartment. Woo Hoo we have somewhere to live next week! As far as my excitement of finding out we are moving to Georgia, I don't know if words can describe it.  Augusta is only 7 hours from home which will make it really easy to come home when Chris is on really long road trips.  I'm trying not to get too excited because we have no idea how long we will be in Georgia.  It could be a week or it could be six months.  We will just have to wait and see.  I've only let myself look at the first month of the schedule to keep myself from getting too excited.  I know that Chris has his first start Saturday in Augusta.  I know he is so excited to get started on his first full Minor League season, and I am so excited to be there to support him! The next 6 months are going to be a lot of fun!

The reasons I am so excited about moving back to the South for a little while:
1. SWEET TEA-its amazing what a month without it can do to a girl.
2. YALL-if only you know the looks I got for saying yall in Arizona.
3. CHEESE DIP-mexican restaurants that aren't in the south don't have cheese dip.  Imagine that, cheese dip is a southern thing!

Sorry this blog post is a little late.  Its been the craziest week of this journey so far, but I could not be happier about where God is leading us on this next little bit! Next on my list is a much needed trip to STARKVILLE!
