Three Months, Three States

In three short months of marriage Chris and I have lived in three different states.  I honestly never thought I would say that.  We have started to settle into our new home in Georgia.  I'm scared to say this, but I LOVE IT! Which probably means we will be moving soon, so I am soaking every second of it up.  I love being back in the south.  I love me some sweet tea.  And most importantly, I love southern people.  It is great to know that I can hop in my car and be home in a day.  Anyway, I should probably quit liking it so much because who knows how long we will be here.  I'm trying not to get attached to life here.

I got to Augusta on Tuesday and we moved into the apartment.  The puppies love it because there is GRASS (there wasn't any grass in the desert of Scottsdale) where they can run around.  I love it because it is super convenient to food (most important), Kroger, and the field.  Most of the guys are living at this same apartment complex so most days you will find me running carpool to the field since most of them do not have their cars here.  I'm embracing the role of baseball mom once again.  Opening day got rained out Thursday night.  Thank goodness because it was FREEZING and raining.  Not ideal baseball weather.  They had opening day Friday and topped of a GreenJackets win with fireworks after the game.  Yesterday, they played a double header and Chris pitched the first game.  He had a solid first start.  It wasn't as good as he wanted it to be, but he got the win.  For those of you who care or haven't seen it on twitter yet his final line was: 5 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K.  His grandparents came to see him pitch and I enjoyed getting to spend some time with them! So far, the GreenJackets are 3-0.  They play again this afternoon before leaving for their first road trip.

Over the next five months, I will probably go to over 100 baseball games.  God sure knew what He was doing when He planned my life.  I seriously could not be more excited.  I might have to find another nervous habit.  This whole eating myself through games isn't going to work for these crazy long seasons... I'll keep ya'll posted on how that turns out haha.
