Back in the Swing of Things

Baby Ace is getting so big!
After a wonderful week at home of moving and making house decisions.  It is nice to be back in the swing of things in Augusta.  I really like being on a schedule.  It goes back to the fact that I'm a planner.  In a way, I cannot wait until September so that we can get into the offseason schedule.  It will be nice to be able to cook dinner again and actually eat dinner with my husband instead of by myself.  We will see how much cooking it will take before I'm wishing for the season and only worrying about myself for dinner. Then again, I am going to miss watching baseball every night and our baseball friends.  It is one of the positives about the crazy schedule of minor league baseball.  We get the best of both worlds.  There are great things about the season and offseason.

Chris pitched again last night.  His final line was: 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 8 K.  He wasn't exactly thrilled with his performance even though it really wasn't that bad.  His next start should be next Thursday in Greenville.

I'm really looking forward to next week because Emerson is coming to visit! She is flying in Tuesday.  We are going to spend a few days here, then drive to Greenville to watch Chris pitch, and then we are driving home for Gum Tree! I can't wait to spend some time with her, and I'll be really thankful to have some company on the drive home.

Her best trick is begging for food.  How do you say no to that face?

Well, Mom's new nickname for me is dog lady...not okay.  I guess this post isn't helping my case.  That is all for now.
