Playoffs Means Packing

Hey Y'all!

Just thought I would write a quick baseball update before I head to bed.  Yes, I know it is 3:00 AM...welcome to Minor League life.  Today has been a pretty busy day.  The GreenJackets had their first playoff game tonight and lets just say it didn't go as planned.  We lost...bad...like 10-2 bad.  It was ugly and not fun at all.  And to top it off I just happened to sit in front of the only five Savannah fans at the game.  So obnoxious...I'm not a good loser in case you didn't know that about me.

The loss has made our lives a little on the crazy side.  Since we lost tonight, we have to win two games at Savannah Friday and Saturday.  Chris will pitch on Saturday if we win Friday.  If we lose either Friday or Saturday the season is over.  As sad as the end of the season makes me, the good news is we get to come home as soon as playoffs are over.  If we win two games in Savannah, we will head to either West Virginia or Maryland for two games and come back to Augusta for the last three games of the series.

Since there is a possibility playoffs could be over for us this weekend, the packing has begun.  I'm a little confused as to how we have accumulated so much stuff since we left for Spring Training in February...oops.  I'm getting pretty good at this whole packing thing.  Between me packing and Chris and Okert hauling stuff to the car, we make a pretty good team.  If we win this weekend, we will just live out of our car for the next week.  But really, I live out of my car every week.

Long story short, we could be home as early as the middle of the night Friday or as late as September 14th.  No matter when the season ends, we are so pumped that we will be in Tupelo so soon!! Chris hasn't seen our house since we left in February.  I think he is going to be in shock at the transformation.  I have gotten my hands on some awesome before pictures from the house.  Unfortunately, I haven't found the before pictures of the bathroom.  Needless to say, I am ready to get there and take pictures for a before and after post.

Okay, it is time for me to get in bed.  Have I told you how excited I am to be back on a normal schedule where I don't go to sleep in the morning and wake up in the afternoon? My granny self can't handle many more days of these hours.  I'll keep y'all posted on our crazy week!
