Offseason Life

Hey yall!

Sorry for the long break from blogging.  Offseason life is absolutely wonderful, but I don't really think yall want me to bore you with the details of our everyday life.  I love that our life is too boring to blog about right now.  It was time for a break from all the excitement and constant moving!

Our weeks are pretty much down to a science.  I'm teaching four year olds at the church preschool Tuesday-Thursday and babysitting Mondays and Tuesdays.  I absolutely love getting to love on four year olds.  They are so precious and I love every minute of it.  I also love my naps that are necessary most afternoons because they wear me out.  Chris is working out and eating a lot to gain weight.  (I wish somebody would tell me I had to gain weight, it looks fun.)  And our weekends are filled with family time, football games, and church.  It is pretty much perfect.

We've gotten to love on precious Mary Lyle since she came home and we are in love.  She is the most beautiful newborn I have ever seen!  And her parents aren't so bad either! You can read her sweet story here.  Our God is so so good!

Needless to say, we are loving offseason life.  It is so nice to be on an actual schedule with regular sleeping hours.  It's even better to have a king size bed (the full size wasn't cutting it with a rather tall husband) and being able to cook dinner.  I'm sure once the season gets closer we will start getting antsy to get going again, but for now we are still soaking up the offseason and our Tupelo time.  Maybe I'll finally finish up some stuff in my house so I can post pictures.  Hope yall have a great week!

  1. So glad you are enjoying the offseason making precious memories!! That baby girl is absolutely adorable!!

  2. Hi Martha! It's so nice to "meet" you ;) And what a sweet blog you have too! Hope your offseason continues to be as boring as possible (haha) and that you're able to resist the mighty temptations of your hubby's delicious food! Maybe someday, we'll be able to meet in real life! Also completely as a side note, I was wondering if you've ever heard of PAO (Professional Athletes Outreach)?

    1. Hey! I actually have heard of PAO through Chris' agent, but we never really got many details. I would love to know more about it.

  3. Oh yay! I'm glad you've heard about it. It's a three day Christian conference in Miami this year from December 3-6. Major and minor league players and wives from all over the country are invited to attend the conference and basically hear God's Word, praise and worship, and take an array of different workshops with a bunch of other baseball couples. For first timers (like Adam and I!) the cost for minor league players AND their wife for the three days is $500...which includes airfare, food, hotel stay, and the conference itself! :) If you want more information, here's the website: http://pao.org/conferences/baseball/ Also, if you decide that maybe this is something you and your hubby want to do, contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@pao.org or call 1-800-733-7306. Adam and I are so excited for this, and we just wanted to forward the information to you! :)

  4. Hope you are enjoying the off season as much as we are! My husband is with the Cleveland Indians Organization and I know that the off season is flying by! Enjoy the rest of these few months!
