Home Sweet Scottsdale

Spring Training is here and I still don't think it has hit me that it's baseball season again!! I finished my drive yesterday and arrived in Scottsdale around 2:30.  The first thing on my agenda was food.  I didn't stop for meals yesterday because I was just ready to get off the road.  I junked it out while driving and needed some real food to make me feel better about life.  So of course we headed straight to Chipotle.  Next, was the first of many trips to the mall.  I just wanted to get out of the car and move at this point.  After resting at the hotel for the rest of the afternoon, we decided we were hungry again at 8:30 and headed straight back to the mall.  I think this is when it hit me that we are really here.  I was eating dinner at 8:30 at the mall food court.  Baseball life at its finest.

We move into our apartment this afternoon! We drove by the apartment yesterday so we could look at the location.  Good news is that it is really close to the field and it is in a good area.  I can't wait to get in and see it today.  I am always nervous booking an apartment without seeing it in person.  Some of the other players live there and recommended it to Chris, so I'm feeling good about it.  More than anything I am just ready to unpack my extremely overpacked car.

Chris is scheduled to throw a bullpen today.  It is raining (yes I said raining) in Scottsdale right now.  Pretty sure it hasn't rained here in three months.  So I guess we will wait and see if he actually gets to throw today.

It is officially time to switch into baseball season mode.  The off season was an amazing six months, but I can't wait to see what our second baseball season holds.  It is definitely a season that is being covered in prayer and I am trusting in God's will this season!
