Rafiki Blog

Hey friends!

I am so excited to say that I am now doing publicity for Rafiki!  For those of you who do not know, I went to Ghana, Africa in December of 2011.  I spent two weeks at Rafiki Orphanage loving on kids and teaching school.  I fell in love with Rafiki and the precious children that call Rafiki home.  During Spring Training, God really laid on my heart that I needed to do something for Rafiki.  He was pretty much telling me that my work at Rafiki was not over.  I started brainstorming ways that I could be the most beneficial to Rafiki.  I prayed and felt like my love for blogging could be a good way to make Rafiki and Rafiki's needs more known.  Rafiki needs prayers and financial assistance more than anything.  The new blog will be a way for people to help support Rafiki in both of these areas.  I will be posting the children's stories, Rafiki's major needs, and how you can help Rafiki serve more children in Ghana.

The wonderful Rachel Cox at Oh Simple Thoughts also helped me design the Rafiki Blog.  It is still a work in progress as we add information, but it is linked the the Rafiki website that you can donate to Rafiki or sponsor a child who calls Rafiki home.  Please go check out Rafiki's blog and keep a look out for ways that you can become a Rafiki Friend!

My goal is to have the Rafiki Blog seperate from my personal blog, but until the Rafiki Blog has followers of its own I will be updating on here to keep people informed!

Stay tuned to the Rafiki Blog to Meet Junior!
HIs story and more pictures will be posted soon.
