Waiting Place

I don't know about you, but this quote gives me so much hope.  I've shared over and over my need to plan and my impatience.  Waiting is one of the hardest things for me.  The problem blessing is, Minor League Baseball is all about waiting.  Waiting to move up to a new team, waiting to hopefully get called up to the Big Leagues, waiting to find out where you will live next, and so many more times that "waiting" is involved.  So in short, we spend the majority of our "baseball lives" waiting.

I'm slowly learning that being in a place of waiting isn't all that bad.  It is a place of vulnerability that opens me up to letting God really work in me.  There is hope in our waiting that God is always working.  Our God will never leave our story unfinished.  There is always a reason behind the waiting.  Most of the time those reasons are so much bigger than we can imagine.

So my prayer is that we will find peace in waiting.  I pray that we learn that even in our waiting places God is working.

  1. Yes... It is a bunch of hurry up & waiting. I love how you bring it back to letting a God work in you. I think instead of complaining about the situation I need to let God work in me.

  2. Waiting. Ah. It's much more of a difficult thing than we really think. Traveling into the unknown is kind of scary. God will provide and lead. He won't forget about you. (That is what I believed in this year as I was jobsearching...it really helped)

Thank you for linking up with us!

    1. I love your point that He won't forget about you! It is so hard for me to wait because I'm such a planner/now-person. But, there is something so sweet about waiting and finally getting an answer that makes it worth it!
