Wednesday's Words // Vol 1

Wednesday's Words
Hello sweet friends! Welcome to the very first Wednesday's Words!  Jenni and I are so excited to have you join us and see where God takes this weekly linkup!

First things first we need to introduce ourselves!

Meet your hosts....

Meet your co-host...

I am so excited to introduce you to our first co-host, Anna! I absolutely love reading Anna's blog, and I know you will too! So be sure to go check Park Avenue out!

"I started blogging in 2011 to document my upcoming wedding and move to a new city. Since then, a lot has changed for me and my husband, Chris. I wanted a new, fresh space to share my thoughts, recipes, home decor, travel photos, my faith, and all the little things in between. Park Avenue has become my creative outlet, and I hope you will follow along!'

So now, let me introduce myself! One of my favorite parts about blogging is connecting with other bloggers and creating a community.  I've been blogging for about two years, but only starting consistently blogging in the last six months.  I started dating my husband when I was 14 and in the 9th grade! After five years of dating we got married in our hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi in January of 2013.  My husband is a Minor League Baseball player that got drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2012.  I travel with my husband full-time during the season, so we spend 7 months in "season" moving around to different teams and the other 5 months we spend our "offseason" in Tupelo, MS.  We have two precious dogs (we may be biased) that we adopted from the Humane Society.  During the offseason, I teach preschool at our church and absolutely love it! My degree is in Educational Psychology, so if we ever get settled in one place long enough, I hope to be an Elementary School Counselor.

This blog started out solely as a way to keep friends and family updated with Chris' baseball career, but slowly turned into a way for me to share so much more than that.  I love being able to use Seasons with the Strattons as a platform to show how God is working in and through us, as well as building community in the blog world.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Jeremiah 17:7-8

Right now, God has been using where He has us in our baseball journey to teach me how to rely on Him daily.  I know how to rely on Him when there are big things on my plate like major decisions, but sometimes I struggle to realize that I need Him daily.  I'm a pretty independent person, so accepting my need of dependence on the Lord to make it through every single day is hard for me.  I do not only need Him in the big moments, but the every day, small moments as well.

Is this a struggle for anybody else, or is it just me?

What has God been teaching you lately?

That is enough about me! I can't wait to "meet" you and see where God has you in life!
