Words from the Weekend

Happy Monday Friends!

I've had a great week at home working on some house projects and spending time with family and friends.  My plan was to head back to Virginia today, but that just hasn't happened yet and I'm not sure when or if it will... Welcome to the life of an indecisive baseball wife!

In some exciting big sister news, Mary Dawson went through rush at Mississippi State last week and pledged Chi Omega Saturday! I was a Chi O at State so I was a little on the excited side! I'm so proud of her, and I know she will love her Chi O friends as much as I love mine!

Like I said, I've been at home this week and I've honestly just enjoyed time with my family.  I've been staying at my parents house because why not when the other alternative is staying at your house by yourself... Plus, I get to be on normal schedule when I'm home which means having a morning cup of coffee and not an afternoon cup to get me through a 7:00 baseball game!

Here are some updates from the week!

Chris this Week: Chris got his first AA win this week! I hate I wasn't there to see it, but I'm loving getting to spend some time at home! He pitches again August 24th.

House Projects: I've been working on so many house projects since I've been home.  I always like to come home towards the end of the season to get our house in order because the last thing I want to do after the craziness of living out of a suitcase is come home to a house full of projects.  So this week I have done our guest bedrooms, unpacked from the California move, and just finished some things off my to-do list that have been there forever! I'll post pictures soon!

Be sure to follow Seasons with the Strattons

Have a blessed week friends!

  1. Will you get to be there to watch his next pitching game--to see him win, of course!

    1. I was here for his next one, but he got hit with a ball and couldn't stay in long enough to get the win! :(
It was completely minor and precautionary, BUT he starts again tomorrow and I'll be there. So fingers crossed for the win! :)

  2. OH how fun! RUSH! Brings back so many memories. Our rush isn't until September, but it's still so exciting...I'm an advisor for our chapter so I'll be involved and it'll all make me feel old :) Love that you're so close to me right now! You'll have to let me know when you're home again so we can plan a get together! Praying for you with everything coming up...life is exciting!

    1. Doesn't it though? I'm so jealous that you are a chapter advisor! I would absolutely love to be able to do that! Maybe one day! I'll be home in the middle of September, and I might have to be a bad Bulldog and come meet you for coffee in Oxford! Bottletree?!
