Cookbook Review: Juice

I have recently developed a new love for cookbooks, but not just any cookbooks, pretty cookbooks.  And yes my husband laughed at me when I told him... I don't know what it is about cookbooks with lots of pretty pictures that make my mouth water that has gotten me all excited, but it has.  So when I stumbled across Blogging for Books I knew I had to sign up.

It is such an easy sign up process and you get to pick the books you want to review.  Since I'm now obsessed with cookbooks and needed some new recipes for my juicer, I chose Juice by Carly de Castro, Hedi Gores, and Hayden Slater.  I'm so glad I chose this book!

I loved how Juice not only has recipes for juice, but also really helpful information about the benefits of juicing and juicing basics.  It also does a really good job at explaining why alkaline foods are so important and easy to get by juicing certain fruits and vegetables.  Overall, I was super impressed with the entire book and haven't found a negative yet.

I decided to try the Greens 8 Juice first and absolutely loved it.  Here is the recipe from Juice:
Greens 8, page 45
3 or 4 Kale Leaves
Large Handful of Spinach
2 Large Carrots
1 Grapefruit Coarsely Peeled

Juicing makes me feel good about life.  It makes me get fruits and vegetables that I probably wouldn't get without juicing.  Juice gives me great new recipes to mix up my daily juices so that I don't get sick of something that is so good for me.  It also gave me recipes that I never would have thought to try, but I can't wait to!

"I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review." All opinions are my own.
