September Goals

Hello September, I sure am happy to see you!

I've really loved sharing my monthly goals here because it keeps me accountable.  So here are some goals for September..

1.  Meal Plan for the Offseason: Chris always gets meal plans from the Giants before the offseason.  I've started planning our meals according to what they want him eating, but I would love to get the first few weeks done before we head home.  I feel like if I already have the meals planned, it will be easier to jump into that routine when we get home.

2.  Finish One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp: I started this book last weekend and I can already tell it will be a new favorite!

3.  Finish House Projects: One of my favorite things about the offseason is working on house projects I didn't finish the offseason before! Can't wait to get home and cross some things off the list!

4.  Enjoy the End of the Season: As ready as I am to get back home, my goal is to have a good attitude and enjoy this last bit of the season no matter how short or long it may be!

5.  Look for Apartments: There is a good chance we will be back in Virginia next year, so I might as well look for apartments while we are here to avoid some of the end of Spring Training stress.

6.  Continue to Run and Count Calories: I've been doing so much better lately at making my daily run a priority, and I've also started back counting calories which always helps.  It is more about a reminder to think about what I eat than the actual calories!

7.  Organize our End of the Season Packing: Last year I was so organized about boxing our things we only use during the season, and then making list of things that I needed during the season that we use during the offseason like our crockpot and Keurig.  The move from California to Virginia put a damper on my organization this year because I made one drop off at our house before heading to Virginia.  I want to get back organized so that packing was as easy as it was before this season!

Recap of August Goals:

1.  Find Living Arrangement in Richmond: Thank goodness for extended stay hotels!
2.  Host the First Wednesday's Words Linkup: This was so much fun and I can't wait for our second linkup tomorrow!
3.  Get in a New Routine: I actually got into a routine really fast here, which made the transition so much easier!
4.  Explore Richmond: I'm starting to find my way around, and have loved getting to explore with some of the other wives/fiancés that are here.  Last week, we went to Kings Dominion which is really similar to Six Flags.  So fun!

5.  Prioritize Quiet Time: I did okay, but there is always room for improvement!
6.  Love on my Sponsors: Even though it was a crazy month to start sponsorships, I loved my first month of having sponsors!
7.  Get Organized: We are as organized as we are going to be for now.  It's a different story when we get home!

What are your goals for September?

  4. Okay, so y'all are home (as in MS) during the off season?! I hope that's a YES! If so, one of our goals needs to be a coffee date :) Your goals are awesome...totally doable! I need to be better with meal planning. I tend to be a fly by my seat kind of dinner planner, which isn't always a good thing. Happy September!
