God Won't Leave You Hanging // Wednesday's Words

Sometimes I feel like God gets me to a certain point and then leaves me hanging.  It is in times when I've prayed for answers and direction and felt like I'm getting somewhere before it all suddenly stops.  Answers stop coming, and I'm left wondering where to go next.  Why did He bring me to this point just to stop?

Times like these are when verses like Philippians 1:6 are so comforting.  The Lord isn't going to leave me hanging.  He is going to finish what He has started, it just might take some patience from me.  His timing isn't always my timing, but His timing is perfect.

I might not be able to see where the Lord is going to take me next, but I rest in the fact that He knows where He is taking me.  I'm not going to be in a stage of waiting forever.  He will finish this journey and it will all make sense.  And for that I am thankful.

I'm thankful to praise an all-knowing God who has my best interest at heart.  A God who knows my best interest even when I don't.  A God who's got this and won't leave me hanging.

So today I am praising our God for finishing what He has started in my life when He sees fit.
