Patiently and Confidently // Wednesday's Words

Welcome to another week of Wednesday's Words with Jenni and me! We are so glad you are here and can't wait to read your sweet words.  This week you can link up any old or new post that contains a Bible verse or other type of words God has used in your life.  Be sure to join us next week! Next Week is the last Wednesday of the month and the topic is: What has the Lord taught you about prioritizing your time in order to enjoy the small, daily blessings?  Here is this week's edition of Wednesday's Words!

But if we look forward to something we don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.
Romans 8:25

What started as a spontaneous decision to spend the weekend at the beach turned in to so much more.  I think Chris and I both knew we needed a weekend away, but I don't think we knew how much we really needed it.  God met us on the beach with lessons about struggles we didn't even realize we had.  And it was both sweet and beautiful.  Sweet in that sense of knowing God is taking you on a journey but you don't know where quite yet.  Beautiful in the way that you are in awe of how such a big God that created the ocean is the same God that cares about the small details of your life.

If you've never read The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson, it is safe to say that both Chris and I highly recommend it.  There will be more on this to come, but for now just go read it.  It will change the way you look at prayer and make you ask questions you don't know you have.  And if you read it, please email me.  I would LOVE to dissect this book with you!

I'm honestly still at a loss for words for where God took me this weekend.  I feel like I haven't hit that full moment of clarity just yet, but instead I am still in the waiting leading to that moment.  I am clinging to God's promise in Romans 8:25 by waiting patiently and confidently because really that is all I know to do...cling to His promises.  It might be more like hanging on for dear life and holding my breath at the same time, but that is okay too.

What promises have you had to cling to in order to get through the journey the Lord is leading you on?

Now it is your turn to share your thoughts! You can link up any old post or a post you wrote specifically for the linkup! Any post that has a Bible verse, quote, or other words that God has used to encourage or uplift you is perfect! Linkup Rules:
