Operation Christmas Child // Wednesday's Words

Welcome to another week of Wednesday's Words with Jenni and me! Be sure to link up your post at the bottom so we can read your words too!

Christmas is by far my favorite time of the year.  I'm having to fight the urge to go in to full Christmas-mode and it is not even Thanksgiving yet.  Most of my Christmas shopping is done, I'm just itching to blast Christmas music, burn Frasier Fir candles, and wrap presents.  My Christmas loving self got super excited when I first heard about Hayley's Operation Christmas Child linkup!

Operation Christmas Child has been something I have always wanted to do, but honestly just never have.  The Salvation Army Angel Tree was always a part of my family's Christmas tradition, but I am so excited to be participating in Operation Christmas Child this year.  And the great news, is you can join too!

Hayley has put together a great document with everything you need to know to participate! So please join us next week in sharing your Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and help raise awareness for this great cause.

From personal experience, I spent two weeks in December in Ghana, Africa at the Rafiki Orphanage. It was such a joy to see the children receive Christmas gifts from sweet sponsors and friends of Rafiki that we packed our suitcases with.  It really is eye opening how the smallest gifts give them joy! So in honor of all my kids spending another Christmas at Rafiki, I will participate in Operation Christmas Child in hopes to brighten a precious child's day.  I would love for you to join us!

So today, sweet friends, I pray that we can look for the needs of others rather than our needs.  Because, really, all it comes down to is loving others.  So how can we do that?

Now it is your turn to share your thoughts. What does the Lord have on your heart today? Link up any post (old or new) that includes a Bible verse, quote, song lyric, or other word that has encouraged you in your faith.

Linkup Rules:
1.  Follow your Hosts: Jenni and Martha Kate
