Cranberry and Pecan Baked Brie




Cranberries have been the theme this week, and this recipe does not disappoint.  I had never tried brie before I tried this recipe.  But after seeing a few brie recipes floating around Pinterest, I had to try my hand at creating a baked brie.

This recipe is super easy and quick, but is beautiful! It makes a great dish to take to Christmas parties as an appetizer.


CRANBERRY and PECAN BAKED BRIE
I N G R E D I E N T S
-1 Cup of Chopped Pecans
-8 oz Wheel of Brie
-3 Tablespoons of Honey
-Homemade Cranberry Sauce (recipe below)

D I R E C T I O N S
-Toast the pecans in a skillet with butter until they are browned.
-Cover the Brie with the honey and bake on 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
-When the Brie is done, top it with the toasted pecans and homemade cranberry sauce.
-Serve warm with bread or crackers and enjoy!

HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE
I N G R E D I E N T S
-3/4 cup of Water
-Juice and Zest of One Lemon
-1 Cup of Sugar
-3 Cups of Fresh Cranberries

D I R E C T I O N S
-Bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves.  Stir occasionally.
-Add the lemon juice, zest, and cranberries to the pot.
-Simmer on medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes until the cranberries have soften.  Stir occasionally.
