Do Not Fear

Fear is something I struggle with.  Not the kind of fear that makes you afraid of heights or spiders... But the kind of fear that makes you afraid of the unknown or infertility or the future.  I fear some big things, but my fears are not bigger than our God.

That is why I love the picture that Isaiah 41:13 paints of God holding my hand and walking me through my fears.  The Lord is able to help me through each fear by walking with me and holding my hand.  That is a whole new level of comforting.

So as I start to sense fear creeping, I have to stop and remember that the Lord is holding my hand.  He is always there, I just have to acknowledge it and believe He is.  And that, friends, is how I make it through this crazy thing called life.

It isn't always easy to hear that nudging that says "Do not fear, I am with you", but when I can sit quiet in my fear rather than automatically letting it overtake my thoughts I am more likely to realize the Lord is there.

So today, I urge you to look to the Lord in your fear.  Not your human nature that tells you it is okay to fear.

This isn't a linkup week for Wednesday's Words, but we would love for you to share our brand new button (Thanks Madison) if you shared a faith post today.  And we would love it even more if you joined us for our next linkup February 25!
